Land Rights

Land issues concerning socially excluded communities an important aspect of the work of Jan Sahas. Landless Dalit families were provided land soon after independence and many of them owned some land of their own as well but over the period the encroachment of these land by influential non Dalits have rendered them landless. Getting the land rightfully back to the Dalit families and ensuring availability of land to landless Dalit families has been taken up by Jan Sahas as an important intervention issue.
