The organizational strategy of Jan Sahas comprises of three key elements for empowerment of the communities for which the organization works. It is depicted in the diagram that follows.

Key approaches
The key approach of the organization involves the following elements:

• Working towards realization of rights and entitlements
• Promoting community leadership: Jansahas believes in community leadership and hence promotes community leaders to be in the forefront in the fight against discrimination and exploitation
• Developing community based social structures to address different issues: Jansahas is supporting four such organizations which have been established for fighting different issues. All the organizations are member based and representatives are elected every year.
• Giving equal opportunity to women
• People centered participatory approach
• Capacity building of target group is a continuous process and capacitates people to take stand on various issues
